My father is a ex-monk from Tibet. My mother is Princess Dewa from Xinjiang who is a direct line from Genghis Khan.
I was born in Taiwan, grew up in the States and retuned to Gaden in India in 1987. Had the great honour to be ordained by HH Dalai Lama and to meet my root guru HH Kyabje Zong Rinpoche.
Now I reside in Malaysia as spiritual advisor to the Kechara organisation.

One of my students, Jean Mei, sent me this video to watch. It is extremely heartbreaking and sad to watch.
Animals are sentient beings and they do know they are going to die. You can see how this one ox just doesn't want to go in there because he knows death awaits him. How heartbreaking. How totally frightened he is. Aren't you going to end up on a hospital bed one day waiting death? It's inevitable you'll be waiting for death. Aren't you scared? If you're not scared, your bluffing.
Please go vegetarian. Reduce this unnecessary horror and suffering that is completely unnecessary.
I will do whatever I can to reduce cruelty to animals and create less suffering for them in the world. I have encouraged all my students to go vegetarian and I will continue to do so.
Please make a vegetarian pledge now http://www.kechara.com/ladrang/news/tweeting-all-vegetarians/. I will make offerings and prayers for all who commit. Even going vegetarian one day a week makes a difference to the lives of animals around the world. You could have saved this ox.
Don't just feel bad, or turn away from this video..DO SOMETHING REAL AND CONSTRUCTIVE. GO VEGETARIAN NOW.
Each time you go to a fast food place, resteraunt or hawker and just order an burger, fried chicken, steak or pork, SOME ANIMAL WAS SLAUGHTERED FOR YOU. No animals jumped into the frying pan and waited to be fried so you can eat them like another animal. If you believe in karma and eat meat, then you are not real. Not genuine.
Everytime you eat meat, it's similar to YOU HAVING KILLED THE ANIMAL YOU ARE EATING! STOP!!
Hey everyone, watch this video of my students and friends performing for our charity dinner. The performance took weeks to practice and the audience LOVED THE SHOW.
I received a multimedia message from Liaison Su Ming today:-

I am blogging this to show you how generous, caring and loving people here are. Nothing in this picture is simply just grabbed and presented to me. Everything is healthy, picked with alot of thought and so much consideration for my health. Datin Jennifer, her daughter KMP writer Paris and Monlam surprised me with this today. It's all the things I love, should eat and very healthy. How caring of them. So touching.
What you see are cherries, yellow kiwifruits, champagne grapes, super sweet corn, roma tomatoes, avocadoes, gouda and various cheeses, potato spinach-sweet-corn-parsley-winter veg-pumpkins soups and to top it off, bouquet of flowers!!
It's not the gifts or the items of course, they are wonderful that touches me, but the care and sincerity.
Thank you Datin Jennifer, Paris and Monlam..I will EAT IT ALL while sniffing the flowers AFTER THEY'VE BEEN OFFERED TO VAJRA YOGINI...hehehe
Pat is a talented seamstress/tailor. Once she gets her hands on any fabric, she will do wonders with it. She is the chief seamstress/tailor at our Kechara Saraswati Arts dept. She works hard, and very dedicated. I am happy to have her with us. On her free time she does EXTRA dharma work too.
Here's Pat in the Tsem Ladrang kitchen. She is doing all day cooking for the last Liaison's Meeting. Liaisons gather once a month to have meetings, updates and decisions for all of Kechara House. Pat appreciates them very much and has volunteered to cook in the kitchen for liaisons. How very caring and loving of Pat. I rejoiced when I heard the news.
Thank you for caring so much Pat!!

I like this picture of Vivian and Pat in KSA. Such a nice warm picture....thank you ladies for dedicating yourself to others through Dharma!!!! You set a great example on many levels!!
I met Vivian 18 years ago in 1992. I was in walking around in SS2 Petaling Jaya and looking for photographer to take some pictures. I walked into their shop and met Vivian and her husband. They found me 'unusual' and I found them interesting...hehehe. We did the photo shoot and afterwards I had lunch with her husband. They have a family business there at the time of taking professional pictures and prints. Her husband is a very good photographer.
Ever since that day they took pictures of me at their SS2 shop, we have been friends going nearly on two decades... Now Vivian and her daughter Sophie are regular volunteers in Kechara Saraswati Arts Dept. They do such wonderful art works and very important members of this dept. Her other daughter Angie works in Kechara Oasis Resteraunt. Nice girl also. And yet another daughter Suzan works for Kechara Paradise..and she is a great person to explain things to you as she is good in conversation... A short while back I married Suzan in a Buddhist Ceremony in Kechara House.
All this from an accidental meeting in SS2. Nice. Fate..karma..affinity...destiny...and everything nice..
Here, Vivian sent me an exotic plant with a note..how sweet. It's nice to have friends for long term. Treat everyone with respect, love and care and most of the time it works out.

Vivian Ng...my friend taken just a few days ago in KSA.
Talented Lily Chew with her daughters Kimberly and Angel.
Lily has a nice florist shop and makes very interesting and wonderful creations with flowers. This is what she sent me around two days ago. Wow...very creative....Like a magic flower box. I have offered to Vajra Yogini for Lily so she and her lovely daughters will be blessed, protected and be alright.
Lily Chew has a wonderful place called WISHING TREE at F-10, Faber Imperial Court, Jalan Sultan Ismail, 50250 Kuala Lumpur. Telephone: 03-2732 5501/5502. Nice work at this florist shop owned by Lily and very creative!!! I love lily's creations and exotic flowers she throws together. I love exotic flowers to offer to the Buddhas or to present as gifts.
It's always nice to have a florist shop to call from anywhere around the world and order flowers to deliver to people on special occasions in that city....thanks lily.
Thank you lily for all your wonderful talented offerings of flowers. I wish you and your daughters the best.
Today, Kechara Soup Kitchen (KSK) is mentioned in The Star newspaper again for helping to reunite a woman with her sister-in-law who has been living on the streets for 3 years. I'm very happy to hear that another homeless is off the street through KSK.
KUALA LUMPUR: After three years of living on the streets, Jit Kaur had an emotional reunion with her sister-in-law, whom she had not seen in more than 25 years.
The 63-year-old former drug addict, who has been sleeping along Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, was evidently surprised when she was approached by the “stranger” who offered to take her home.
When the relative, Anita Kaur, produced an old photograph of Jit with her soldier husband, an overwhelmed Jit was struck speechless.
Dietician Anita Kaur persuading her sister-in-law Jit Kaur to return home with her Wednesday after 25 years of being separated from the family. The women had an emotional reunion Wednesday after Jit, 63, was approached by Anita, who went in search of her after reading a story about her long-lost relative living on the streets of Kuala Lumpur. - AZHAR MAHFOF / The Star
Emotions aside, Jit was initially adamant to stick to her current way of life, but after much persuasion from her sister-in-law, she relented – she agreed to give Anita a chance by agreeing to spend the night with her at a hotel and take care of her affairs later.
Before the much-anticipated meeting, an excited Anita, who said Jit had been shunned by the family for years, said: “I wish that our encounter will be filled with forgiveness.”
“Although I am excited to meet her after 25 years, I hope time has healed our scars and we can look to building a happier future,” she added.
Jit was thankful for the reunion but admitted that it would be hard to adjust to a “normal lifestyle” after living on the streets for so long.
“Thanks to The Star and Kechara, I have met my family.
“But, it is hard for me to just leave,” she said adding that she had “some things to do” before following her sister-in-law.
Jit’s story, which was featured in The Star on Monday, caught the attention of Anita from Bukit Beruntung, who contacted the daily for help to locate her relative.
Arrangements were made and a team from The Star and Kechara Soup Kitchen took Anita to look for Jit.
Reunited: Jit with Anita (background) on her way to a happy reunion Wednesday.
It was fortunate that she had used her real name when interviewed by The Star early last month, as KSK coordinators Justin Cheah and Jace Chong knew her by another name, Habiba.
The team met with Anita, a dietician, at KL Sentral at 8pm and showed her a recent picture taken of Jit, and Anita immediately recognised her.
On the way to finding her long-lost relative, Anita admitted that relations between both their families became strained soon after Jit married Anita’s brother.

Dear everyone, I am so proud of my KSK team to help the homeless in such a manner. Wonderful. This is what I want KECHARA TO DO FOR SOCIETY. I VERY MUCH WANT KECHARA TO SERVE SOCIETY AND DO MUCH MORE IN THE FUTURE. Warms my heart so much to see this. Beautiful story. I wish them luck from the bottom of my heart. Tsem Tulku
