Tsem Tulku Rinpoche

Changkya Rolpe Dorje

This charming lama is presented in his yogic aspect as an adept of the Chakrasamvara (Superbliss Machine) Mother Tantra, as signified by the standing khatvanga staff attached to his left shoulder, and perhaps the feminine connotation of the elaborate floral arrangement held in his right hand. If it is Rolpe Dorje (1717-86), it is an idealized form, not depicting the prominent facial lump that usually identifies his sculptures. (Otherwise, it might be one of the Panchen Lamas.) The large khatvanga standing next to his left arm signifies that he very well could be Rolpe Dorje, since it means that the lama is an adept of the Unexcelled Yoga of the Chakrasamvara Tantra.

 

The Changkya Hutuktu, Rolpe Dorje, was brought to Beijing by the Yongsheng Manchu emperor (1678-1735) in the early 18th century, since he had been the lama guru of the previous Kangxi emperor (1654-1722) and his incarnation lineage was highly respected by the people of that area of Mongolia now incorporated into China as "Inner" Mongolia. He was brought up by lama tutors, but also attended the palace school for imperial princes, becoming a schoolmate and friend of Prince Hongshi, who later became the Qianlong emperor. This enabled him to accomplish a great deal for Tibetan Buddhist institutions in China, Mongolia, and Tibet. He was a student of the Seventh Dalai Lama and a teacher of the Eighth. He was an important lineage holder in several adept traditions of both Father and Mother Tantras.

The current day incarnation line of Changkya Rolpe Dorje is His Holiness Kyabje Pabongka Rinpoche. Kyabje Pabongka is the undisputed incarnation of this Great Heruka Master. I quote this directly from Kensur Lobsang Tharchin's explanation from his book "Principal Teachings of Buddhism". Pabongka Rinpoche's previous incarnation as this master ushered in a golden age of Lama Tsongkapa's tradition to the Emperors of China, their court and to the nation. Changkya Rolpe Dorje's line of incarnation is very connected to China and the immense benefit he brought to the nation is beyond any measure of kindness.

May Woo's talk at Manjushri Class

Dear Rinpoche,

 

Today at Manjushri class, Kechara Paradise is giving a talk on their dept. May Woo is representing Kechara Paradise outlets to speak today.

 

She explains how outlets reach out to the masses by being present at easily accessible locations like Bangsar n popular shopping malls.

 

Also outlets r a gateway for the general community to make offerings to the sangha.

 

There r 19 of us here at manjushri class today. Outlet staff like Albert, Wan, girlie n Henry r also present.

Elize, johnny & her friend oscar came to visit e-div. She also collected the KAS donation box. Elize, johnny & vegetarian restaurant owner are jointly contributing 50 packets of cooked food to ksk weekly. And oscar (pictured) is contributing 5 packets of food too.

Superstar Michelle Yeoh's Mother

A lovely picture of Sharon who had dinner with a group together with superstar Michelle Yeoh's mother Datin Janet Yeoh.... Sharon mentioned that Datin Janet Yeoh is a very friendly, kind and lovely lady. Sharon looks forward to knowing her more as a person. From this picture, I think Sharon is right! She looks sweet. Nice photo and update from Liaison Sharon..thank you!

Sharon herself is a very gentle, sincere, and generous person. I can really say that as I've known her for a few years now. Sharon doesn't want anything from people or never has an agenda. She is there for you. Just you. She can get along with anyone and has a variety of friends.

I'm glad to know Sharon who works very hard in Kechara Media & Publications dept (http://www.kechara.com/publications/ ) and has books written by her. Great writer!!!

Also she is a full time mother to her beloved son Sean. She loves and adores Sean. He's very cute too. hehehe....Sean has all kinds of schemes he cooks up to get Sharon's attention.....very funny and cute sometimes.. I would also if my mom was Sharon. But I wouldn't be too drastic though..hehee.

Sharon loves Charity and bringing benefit to others from the bottom of her heart. I will always watch over her and make sure she is ok like a fat guardian angel, because I think of her very fondly. May Sharon gain great attainments and Sean make Sharon proud.

Gifts for Margaret's family

Margaret is one of my long time students who is very devoted and has contributed to much of Kechara's growth with her skills. She is an artist who has painted many beautiful thangkas for Kechara. She is currently busy in her tasks of overseeing renovation of Kechara Care new office and Kechara Paradise's SS2 new outlet (we are moving to a ground floor unit), immediately after handing over the new e-Division office.

Recently, Margaret's son Matthieu volunteered and worked very hard to help e-Division assemble many of their furniture for their new office (read the post here: Tsem Ladrang E-Division Grows!!!) and I thought I wanted to encourage and thank him for doing so.

What a nice young man Matthieu is for taking time to help E-division because help was needed very badly. Matthieu and his brother is so loved by Margaret, it's nice to observe. Tsem Tulku

Dear Rinpoche,


Matthieu has set up the nice altar you just given him in his room. He loves the painted Tsongkhapa very much. And he asked me what does Tsongkhapa represent.

He also said the Setrap pendant looks really 'cool' on him n wonder how Rinpoche know that the videos Rinpoche gave him r the ones he would like to watch.



Dave said a big 'thank you' to Rinpoche. Coincidentally, the vitamins that Rinpoche gave him are exactly the ones he is running out n he was planning to get more. He looked at the vitamins n smiled.
Julian was sleeping so I would show him his gift tomorrow.



Rinpoche, please rest well. Your love n care for us are immeasurable n deeply felt n appreciated.

I pray my boys will get closer n closer to the dharma n be beneficial to others one day.
